About
Our Curtains are hand finished locally in our Southwest London showroom.
Our team of seamstresses have over 80 years of combined experience and are meticulous in their attention to detail and their craft. We offer a range of Lining and Heading Options for your Curtains and can customise trims, tapes and borders to suit any design.
Linings
Sateen Lining
We use a Cotton Sateen Lining available in three stock colours (Cream,White and Ivory) this lining is excellent for Curtains which are to be used in
Living Areas which do not require the use of Blackout. We can also supply and use Fire Retardant Sateen Lining if required.
Blackout
Our Blackout Lining also comes in three stock colours (Cream, White,Ivory) and provides an excellent drape and handle for Curtains in bedrooms or cinemas where darkness is necessary. We can also source over 30 bold colours of Blackout Lining if more of a statement or colour
match is required.
Interlining
We offer a mid weight cotton interlining for additional warmth and weight for Curtains which require it.
This lining is an optional extra and helps with Insulation (both sound and heat) in addition to adding weight to your Curtains.
If required we can also source heavier weight bump interlining; which we usually recommend for Country Homes or poorly insulated drafty windows.
Lead Time
The Curtain Workshop usually works to a lead time of between 4-6 weeks for Curtains; lead times are always flexible and subject to change so
please contact us to confirm.
Most Curtain projects will require 2 visits. First visit to install any necessary hardware and confirm the Curtains Finished Length.
This is then followed by a second visit to hang and dress your new Curtains. In some circumstances we are able to visit and install both Curtains and Hardware on the same visit.
